No ordinary crane, the VersaCrane™ has a patented compact design that allows it to perform in crowded and congested areas, and to travel easily and economically. Multiple configurations provide this crane the versatility and strength required to meet almost any challenge and complete tasks that normally require multiple cranes to execute safely. Its technological design provides it the lowest ground-bearing pressure in the industry.

Every piece of structural steel used to build our VersaCrane™ line is stamped with a serial number, so each piece can be fully traced from the mill, through welding and inspection procedures, all the way to completed component. Each VersaCrane™ is tested in strict accordance with the following codes: J987 & J765 SAE and B30.5 ASME. A nationally accredited independent testing firm performs all tests. Industry Leading Ground Bearing Pressure

The brilliance of the VersaCrane fleet is its ability to maintain high capacity while fitting in confined spaces and providing industry-leading low ground bearing pressures. VersaCranes use steel distribution beams to spread outrigger loads over a greater area. In most cases, this allows VersaCranes to maintain a ground bearing pressure below 2,500 PSF. 

MOBILITY

Using Deep South’s heavy transportation knowledge, our VersaCranes can be relocated using SPMTs, saving our clients’ time and money on mobilization costs.

FITS IN CONFINED AREAS

In a tight spot? These cranes work efficiently in confined work areas.

To assemble these large cranes in tight spaces, the VersaCrane line has the unique ability to safety build boom over pipe racks and other obstacles.

The VersaCrane hinge counterweight system gives the crane more capacity without substantially increasing the tail swing radius. These counterweights act as a second main counterweight tray, allowing the crane, once at an appropriate radius, to disconnect the super-lift counterweights and swing the minimum tail swing radius without losing load capacity.

    CUSTOMIZED TO FIT YOUR NEEDS 

    Our intricate knowledge of these cranes allows us to make job-specific crane modifications based on the needs of the job. This allows Deep South to reduce tail swing radii or create new configurations based on the specific needs of your job site.
