Deep South Crane & Rigging is honored to have recently received two safety awards.

On April 27th at the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s (SC&RA) annual conference in Carlsbad, CA, Deep South received the 2019 Crane & Rigging Group Safety Award. The SC&RA Group Safety Award is given to member companies with a Workers’ Compensation Modification Rate of 1.0 or less; Property Damage Frequency Rate of 1.0 or less; and an incident rate of 1.7 or less, which is less than the industry average of 3.4, as reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. SC&RA is an international organization comprised of more than 1,400 members from 46 nations.

In addition, three Deep South crane operators - Jacob Aydell, Brent Kelly, and Josh Monk - received the SC&RA Crane Operator Safety Award. The SC&RA Crane Operator Safety Award is awarded to crane operators who exhibit exemplary work achievements while accumulating 10,000 consecutive man hours while recording zero accidents and incidents.

Finally, Deep South Crane was also honored by Louisiana Workers' Compensation Corporation (LWCC), the largest workers' compensation carrier in the state, by being named in their annual Safest 70 award program. This award recognizes excellence, outstanding performance, and commitment to workplace safety for the top 70 of over 16,000 entities insured by LWCC. These companies are acknowledged based on the effectiveness of their safety efforts in preventing injuries and maintaining a consistent workplace safety history.
