What's Your Why Art Contest
Our Deep South family is not defined by just those that physically come to work every day. It includes daughters, sons, nieces, nephews, wives, husbands, and grandchildren – all of which play an important part of why we come to work each day and stay safe.
To include these extensions of our “family,” Deep South is hosting an art contest for the children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews of Deep South employees who are ages 3 – 18. Submissions will be used for a 2021 safety campaign. We hope that this artwork provides children a means of self-reflection and expression to show what they love about you or what you do!
Must be a child, grandchild, niece, or nephew (ages 3-18) of an active Deep South employee. Artwork must be done without the substantial assistance of an adult on a 8.5” x 11” piece of white paper.
We encourage submissions that highlight a child's perception of what we do (or the employee does) at Deep South or what they enjoy doing with you (examples: time enjoyed outdoors together or a favorite hobby done together).

Many Lifts, One Solution: Modular Lift System Flexes Hydraulic Muscles During Process Plant Overhaul
Deep South crews were challenged to haul, lift, and set 84 modules, including three towers (one measuring 100’ long, 350,000 lbs.) as well as various pieces of process equipment, such as piping, tanks, PDC buildings, and transformers—all within a tight schedule. Many of the modules had offset centers of gravity further complicating the lift and set.
