15 Module Lift and Transport

Deep South was contracted by a Gulf Coast refinery to transport fifteen modules from a fabrication shop in Port Allen, LA to the site in Norco, LA. Transport planning required an in-depth route survey and extensive coordination with state and local authorities and numerous third-party utilities. These modules (up to 20’-3” transport height) were delivered to the facility on Goldhofer THP/SL transporters and set using a 660-ton Terex CC2800-1 crawler crane.

When a critical motor failed at an LNG plant, the clock started immediately. At 680,000 lbs, the motor had never been changed out before.
