Deep South Crane & Rigging is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing/Production Manager to lead and oversee our fabrication and manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality production of components and equipment to support our heavy lift and rigging services. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial manufacturing, a hands-on leadership style, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead daily manufacturing and fabrication activities to meet production schedules and safety goals
• Supervise and support production staff, ensuring clear communication and high performance
• Monitor workflow, quality control, and equipment maintenance
• Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and project teams to coordinate production planning
• Oversee procurement of raw materials, tools, and supplies needed for production
• Manage vendor relationships and provide regular status updates on material deliveries
• Ensure timely communication with vendors to avoid delays and maintain inventory levels
• Implement and uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Drive process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and cost control measures
• Maintain accurate records of production output, labor, materials, procurement, and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials sourcing, and equipment maintenance
• Experience managing procurement activities and vendor communications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills for reporting, communication, and scheduling
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and production plans
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and team development
• A degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required with relevant experience
• Ability to pass pre-employment urine and hair drug testing
