Deep South Crane & Rigging, LLC is accepting applications to fill a Certified Pipe/Structural Plate Welder position for the night shift at our Baton Rouge, LA location. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Duties include the fitting and welding of structural tubing used in the manufacture of crane booms and related parts and structural plate weldments
• Assist fitter with preparation and fitting of weldments including some grinding

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Position will require membership in Ironworkers Local 623 Union upon successful completion of weld testing
• Ideal candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years in the pipe or structural welding field
• Pass 8" 6G SCH 80 pipe test with GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (STICK)
• Pass 1" plate test 2G, 3G, and 4G
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing, including a hair follicle test and background check
• Weld Certification with 1/16' dia. gas shield FCAW 2G, 3G on 1" A514 steel (not necessary for hire but necessary for continued employment)
• Familiar with setup and and use of OXY/ACETYLENE torch
• Good communication skills
