Deep South Crane & Rigging, LLC has been a leader in the heavy-lift and heavy-haul businesses since the 1980’s. This is made possible in part by the in-house design and manufacturing of our own specialty crane line, VersaCrane, with models ranging from 750 to 2500 tons in capacity. Deep South Crane & Rigging, LLC is accepting applications to fill a Certified Flux Core Welder position for the Baton Rouge, LA location. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform gas shielded flux core (FCAW-G) welding to applicable codes
• Assist fitters with grinding and alignment of components to be welded
• Be capable of working outside of your assigned duties to facilitate job completion in a safe and efficient manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Position will require membership to Ironworkers Local 623 Union
• Ideal candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of welding using FCAW
• Must be able pass 2G,3G 1” plate test with 1/16” dia. wire
• SMAW (STICK) certs, a plus but not required
• Detail-oriented, dependable, self-motivated with strong work ethic
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing, including a hair follicle test and background check
• Familiar with use of a cutting torch and air carbon arc gouging
• The willingness to work overtime when needed
• Good communication skills
