Coker Derrick Structure Installation
Deep South hoisted and set the four sections of the coker derrick structure, the heaviest of which weighed 256 tons, and two 450-ton coke drums at a Midwest Refinery using our 2,500-ton VersaCrane TC-36000 and our 275-ton Demag CC-1400. Deep South made the first six lifts with 450’ of main boom in the 2,500-ton VersaCrane and then, due to the final elevation of the derrick, installed an additional 80’ of fixed jib to set the final section of the derrick structure. Deep South also provided all of the rigging systems required to complete this job.
